Burnet Companion
I took this photo of a Burnet Companion on my patch at Norchard yesterday. I assume the green abdominal appendage is the pheremone gland. Not seen that before.

Did you watch the Burnet Companion for long? I just wondered whether it might be ovipositing?
ReplyDeleteIt may have been Patrick, it did not stay still for very long. It was the only one present, plus a solitary female Common Blue butterfly.
