Bringsty Common May 6th

It's so nice to have decent weather after such a wait. Going through the trap this morning to the sound of a cuckoo singing its heart out nearby was lovely. I'm anticipating better nights to come, but last night produced 66 moths of 24 species, all macros bar one Twenty-plume. The quakers are now rapidly vanishing and early Summer species appearing.  Chinese Character, Mulsin, Ruby Tiger, Brown Silver-line, Least Black Arches plus a few more. Peter Hall
