Halesowen Garden

Digitivalva pulicariae - newly constructed cocoon and larva within.
Inspecting the 'jungle' I returned to after just a week away on holiday, I discovered my introduced Fleabane was supporting two species of micro moths, Oidaematophorus lithodactyla, or Dusky Plume, and Digitivalva pulicariae. We also had only our second record of Scarlet Tiger, at rest on the raspberry plants.  Patrick Clement

  1. My Fleabane introduction attempt last year failed. I shall have to try again.

    1. It's a good plant to have, well worth another try.
