Woolhope Clearwing

If you haven't located your local Poplar trees yet, now is the time to find them and go visit them, ideally in the morning from around 7-11am. Hornet Clearwings are emerging and they then tend to sit on the trunk for a while. Robin Hemming found one sitting thus yesterday. His lures were usuccessful. Peter Hall on behalf of Rob Hemming.
