This active little moth, Pyrausta nigrata, was flying around my actinic light this morning at Norchard, Worcs. Probably the first VC37 record since Bredon Hill in 1899.
Yes, the prior record relates to specimens in Worcester Museum. I am not sure how accurate the site data is for them but there must be a good chance they should really be in VC33 East Gloucs. I have seen these flying around near a small old quarry above Bell's Castle mere yards away from the county boundary! Sadly, most of the remaining grassland habitat on Bredon is in VC33.

Thanks Oliver, I hadn't realised how complicated the VC boundaries are in that neck of the woods.
