Cloaked Carpet

My first contribution to this blog, though I have visited it regularly.  We moth trap in the garden and adjoining wilderness field at Welsh Newton Common.  This mornings trap revealed 89 moths of 33 species.  Most notable was a cloaked carpet.  We also had a late May highflyer, 21 common footman, 12 small rivulet and 1 elephant hawk moth.
