Stathmopoda pedella

An unexpected find while sweep-netting Alders at Wofferwood Common today. A first for me and probably 2nd record for Herefordshire.

  2. Snap - I trawled a few alders along the Teme just upstream of New Mill Bridge on Monday night. One B. quadrimaculella, 2 S. pedellas, a few A. goedartella's, a virtually blank scaled Phyllonoryter and a tiny sp. No sign of any Butterbur there anymore though looks like somebody (NRA?) have cleared the west bank of most vegetation...
