Plume Moths

It seems to be a good day for Plume Moths in my garden at Wofferwood Common today with 2 new species for my list. Both ID's were made online and any corrections welcome.

The first Marasmacha lunaedactyla found on the outside of my kitchen window. I have not seen the foodplant (Restharrow) growing locally so presumably the moth has flown in from elsewhere.

The second Gillmeria pallidactyla was disturbed from my garden lawn.

  1. I make that the 36th record for lunaedactyla for Herefordshire, Aaron, the last was in 2015 just down the road from you in Bringsty. A lot more recoreds for pallidactyla, but well spotted nonetheless.
