Bringsty Common

Today I walked the common looking for whataver was about, including recording butterflies. We have 2 colonies of burnet here, both small and in fairly low numbers. The 6-spot colony was nowhere to be seen, whereas it is usually humming with them at this time of year. The Narrow-bordered 5-spot colony, which is usually very low in numbers was out and 5 were seen in the end. Peter Hall
