Mullein moth
One of my 2 Verbascum thapsus plants now has 2 Mullein moth larvae munching their way through. Last year it was carnage for the plants, but so far fewer larvae seen this time around. Peter Hall
I had 4 or 5 larvae on Budleia last year and in the Autumn I planted 2 Verbascum thapsus plants and was lucky enough to get an adult Mullein to light on 3rd May this year. Checked the Verbascum plants yesterday and counted 15 rather large larvae between the 2 plants munching away!
