I usually record them in ones or twos at home at Norchard, and was pleased with five on Monday night. This morning I counted forty one in the garden traps. Similar numbers have been recorded further South recently.
That's a good total for this spectacular and spreading species. I trapped in Buckinghamshire last night, in Bernwood Forest and recorded 10 in my 2 traps.
Nice photo Penny
ReplyDeleteThanks Peter, a lovely moth
ReplyDeleteStill uncommon up here but had my third garden record last night, the first light-trapped record.
